This policy describes how Innocube Technologies (Davao City, Philippines) collects, uses, and protects your data when you use the MyRide Android application. Questions? Email [email protected].
Information we collect
- Mobile phone number — used to identify your account and verify it via OTP
- Full name — provided during sign-up
- GPS location (precise and approximate) — while the app is open, for pickup matching and driver position reporting. Not collected when the app is closed.
- Booking data: pickup/destination addresses, fare, ETA, vehicle type, assigned driver name and phone — shared only between the matched rider and driver, only for the duration of the trip
- User ID — internal session token
- App interactions: booking history, ride status
What we do NOT collect
- Contacts, camera, photos, or microphone
- SMS content or call logs
- Payment card numbers or bank details
- Government IDs or biometric data
- Facial images
How we use your data
- Match passengers with available drivers
- Show live map and estimated arrival time
- Enable in-app call between rider and driver
- Compute fares and trip summaries
- Maintain rental fleet records for operators
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Comply with applicable Philippine law
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
How your data is shared
- Between matched rider and driver only — contact details are shared for the trip duration only, then hidden
- Rental operators see their own fleet location and booked riders' contact info
- Service providers: Google Cloud (Firestore / Cloud Run), OpenStreetMap (map tiles), OSRM (routing) — all under data-processing agreements; they may not use your data independently
- Legal requests — where required by Philippine law or a valid court order
Data retention
- Account profile: retained while your account is active — deletable on request
- Trip records: 24 months (dispute resolution and tax compliance)
- Raw driver location pings: deleted after 90 days
Your rights — Philippines Data Privacy Act R.A. 10173
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to access, correct, delete, object to processing, and withdraw consent for your personal data.

You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
App permissions
- Location (fine + coarse): used for pickup setting, driver matching, and live trip tracking. Only active while the app is open.
- Internet: required for all backend communication.
- Phone (dial only): launches a phone call to your matched driver or rider. The app does not read your call log.
You may revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking location access will disable ride matching and trip tracking.
Children
MyRide is not directed at anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our app, please contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.
Changes to this policy
Material changes to this privacy policy will be announced inside the app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of MyRide after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
